The “Beach Guitar” series is The Guitar Lot’s first offering, are easily some of the most affordable real instruments available, retailing at just $50.00 USD.
“Most guitarists have their main axe, but hey, they’d be crazy to take that fine two-thousand dollar name-brand instrument to the beach or a ski trip.” explains The Guitar Lot’s founder Jimi Yamagishi,. “So, for about the price of a tank of gas, any musician can own a decent-sounding, good playing instrument that can be used for recreation, or spur of the moment inspiration, in places that you would not want to risk leaving or carrying your primary piece.”
The “Beach Guitars” are all new, with full year warranties. Jimi adds: “One of the first people to buy a Beach Guitar came back recently to have a pickup added, because he said not only sounded good, but also handled the abuse of local open mic crowds better than his [name-brand] guitar!” Another exceptionally skilled artist described how much fun it was to get up on stage with a cheap guitar, then blow away the crowd with some flashy chops, proving that “It’s your hands & heart, not the hardware” as Jimi is often quoted as saying.

“Guitarists are creative people, but sometimes those creations are a little less than perfect.” Jimi says grinning. “We have ‘woodshop’ projects, weird necks & pickups, bridges & parts that we’ve traded or inherited that are perfectly useable & a great value for someone looking to build or hotrod something special. For example, aftermarket saddles are readily available, but if you don’t have a bridgeplate, they’re not cost-effective to buy new, & almost impossible to find used. Because we’re also a full service guitar shop, we do have parts like that.
