Welcome to Planet Pulse Global Media | "Paying it Forward” is our site motto and it means community members pass on the goodwill as they have been given and shown. Receiving goodwill, being thankful for the chance/opportunity you are given and then passing it on to help another. This is the whole premise of Planet Pulse and a very simple one.
There are two kinds of people at the top of any industry. Those who have worked hard to build a secure support network by helping those along the way. Then there are those who stepped on others to get to the top and live in fear of falling because there is little holding them up. Which do you want to be? We’re all connected. One World, One Beat.
There’s a story about a celebrity having to pay $49.00 for a bottle of water. The crew at the venue ran late and the catering truck had broken down. This celebrity ranted and berated the staff and everyone else around. He was yelling so much he got really thirsty!. Problem was, the only drinkable water was in a vending machine in the lobby. The celebrity only had a 50.00 bill. “Hey Kid!” he commanded. “Get me some change for the machine!” “I’m sorry”, replied the stagehand, “nobody here would have change for that!” “Well, I NEED water! Gimmie what you got in your pocket!” “How ‘bout a trade?” “OKAY!” said the celebrity. So a dollar’s worth of change was bought for $50.00. And the stagehand went across the street to the supermarket and bought two cases of water to share with the rest of the production staff! So... who had the power and respect?
As artists, we have the skill & passion to create. But if there is no one to appreciate the work, it’s value is diminished. We need each other and sharing resources is important for the growth of all. An artist we know recently did a major overseas tour, but refused to post the gigs or venues online for fear of someone stealing the contacts. Unfortunately, it also meant his fans looking to attend those shows couldn’t find him easily, so the tour was not as successful as it could have been. When most people find a superb restaurant, they share that information with their friends. Why should it be any different here? If you find some amazing music here, don’t look at it as competition, help promote them. Usually that band or artist will thank you, maybe even acknowledge you. Which in turn PROMOTES you too. That’s just the free stuff. Paying for the products and services you find here is not only a great deal, but also helps to keep Planet Pulse running. We have many artists that want to be promoted and to have their music played on the radio & site, problem is they sometimes think theirs is the only worthwhile music in the universe, that is not the case.
Paying it forward means spending a little time to help out. Maybe post a good word on another artist’s page, recording a station ID or bumper or doing a PSA. You’ll find that by putting out just a little bit, you will see a huge return on those investments. It’s not about looking for profit. It’s about knowing you are part of a larger community and that by participating, you are empowered to do bigger things, greater things…things that resonate with a wider part of the planet, as you sync with the heartbeat of the world..paying it forward, one beat at a time. |

British Label Heads For Greener Pastures PENRYN, CORNWALL (24 November 2009) If you stopped a person on the street and asked them what industries were the biggest polluters of the environment, the music industry probably wouldn’t make it on their Top 10 list. It probably wouldn’t spring to mind at all. One international label believes the environment should not only be an agenda item for the music industry – it believes the issue could be the answer the industry needs in addressing the illegal sharing and downloading of music. | What A Time To Be Alive! Can We Choose Global Oneness? by: Nancy R. The holiday season, with its special stresses and joys, is kicking into high gear, and yet the bad news keeps coming. Health, politics, economy, the food supply, the deteriorating environment: we are barraged with seemingly disparate challenges that are really interrelated. Our reaction to these pressures can be paralysis; but it can also be hope and determination. An organization called Global Oneness Project is gathering and disseminating (free of charge) inspirational and empowering videos with the goal of "exploring how the radically simple notion of interconnectedness can be lived in our increasingly complex world." |
Karin & Darwin | Life With Darwin and Other Baboons by Karin Saks In September 1998, a young baboon was orphaned after his mother had been shot from a tree where she was nursing her newborn. Darwin's mother plunged to her death, taking her small infant with her, crushing his frail legs underneath her dead weight. Darwin was paralyzed. The distraught and confused baboon was removed from his mother's body and placed into the loving and gentle care of South African animal welfarist Karin Saks. Continue Reading |
| Downloading Art Directly from the Brain Reconsiderate May 24, 2008 I had an idea a few years ago: how cool would it be to have some sort of machine that would read my brainwaves and translate them into music? “Very cool!” was the response, and so I promptly began to muse over how great it would be actually to have one of these devices. The idea gradually evolved into something slightly more complicated; perhaps the machine could read and translate not only my brainwaves, but also other forms of bio-feedback, including pulse...More |

Should Christians Listen to Secular Music? By Drene Ivy PPGM Gospel/Inspirational Music Director April 2, 2008 There is a learning process in the secular world. We learn to speak, to read and to write using Secular educational methods and materials. For example, when learning to read, we use educational books – not necessarily the Bible. ''Only Love'' is my first English single in the way of world peace and cultural harmony that I envision....I have done plenty in my own language and for the Asian community....I would also like to shoot a cool video to support the single....I am actually looking for the right platform to address the current situation of extremism and cool down or at least address the two ends ... .....
My aim is to reach out to the hearts of people to make them aware that we all belong to the same creator and want the same thing : freedom and peace we just need to stay close and united and counter the thoughts of extremism of all kinds hatred greed power etc etc....all religions educate peace and development of the society which is your vision as well .... and all communities want peace and safer world for their children .......... --Najam Sheraz |

BEING AN ARTIST IS NOT EASY by Reconsiderate Feb 28, 2008 At the moment, my life sucks. It's in total disarray, consisting of a handful of unrelated activities completely filling my schedule to the point that I cannot even read a simple book for recreation. In the long run, I'd like to bring more of my activities together, united under a single theme, but... well, at this point that's little more than a hope... read more |
