Molly Bancroft

Press
"Singer & songwriter from Atlanta, probably best known for her collaborations with Gabriel & Dresden, and has had a respectable performing career opening for artists such as Marshall Crenshaw, Jonatha Brooke, and The Indigo Girls."
--Discogs.com
"Molly Bancroft might well sound familiar if you know Gabriel & Dresden's 'Tracking Treasure Down' or Gianluca Motta's 'Not Alone'. Smooth synths and strongly effected guitar melodies support the singing whilst a restful break beat brings a breeze to this attractive piece of downtempo pop." -Morpheus Music Reviews
Molly Bancroft's voice is a genuine gift, and she takes it to another level. Bancroft possesses a shocking confidence that builds upon her gifts. She opens her mouth and encourages you to Get Closer, and she knows that you will. Her music is love with a healthy heartbeat."

About
Molly Bancroft is a exploring the many genres within rock and dance music while staying firmly rooted in her strong song craft leanings. Collaborating with Gabriel and Dresden led to a their Number 1 Billboard Charting single with the hot DJ duo, on the song "Tracking Treasure Down." The track was Molly's first jump into working with DJs as not only a singer but as a co-writer. Molly's other collaborations have been equally fruitful: "Not Alone," with Gianluca Motta, a huge club smash, and "Fountains of Youth," which is currently in the Top Ten of MUSIC WEEK UK's charts. Molly's life in music started as a jazz sax player and morphed into a rock singer/songwriter after she moved to Boston in the early '90s. Influenced by Nirvana as much as Suzanne Vega, Molly released her first 7" single before moving to Atlanta to form her alt rock band LIFT. LIFT released 3 critically acclaimed albums and playing major venues with the Indigo Girls. Molly veered into more electronic rock with her debut solo-produced effort GET CLOSER which landed her in a new catagory of female rockers. Produced by Molly with a few extraordinary guest musicians (Tim Smith on bass, from Sheryl Crow's band) and Guy Strauss on drums. Twelve beautiful songs capture an ambient groove and layers of esctacy for a chill day or a perk-me-up. See the impressive reviews of this CD... it's a gem!
